Founders of Business/Corporations have an innate obligation to provide employment for people of the same racial make-up and/or ethnicity.
I write this article because I'm tired of hearing African American Hollywood actors and actresses complaining about how few black sitcoms and late night talk show hosts are on American television channels. ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX and the CW, etc. Although I'm incarcerated, and because my opinions doesn't count but I feel compelled to express them anyway.
Anyone who happens to read this article please understand that it was not written to support racial discrimination, and the author is an African American. The purpose is to educate African Americans that they're being ungrateful to their employers by complaining of the shortage of black employees at the company, and making demands that the employer hires more African Americans. What caused me to express my perspective came from a discussion the women of the ABC talk show "The View" were having. There are five co-hosts on The View, three Caucasian Americans and two African Americans. The co-host Sheri had thanked Barbara Walters for hiring the two African Americans as hosts. She also stated that Black sitcoms are being cancelled, that there's no late night television black talk show host. Barbara Walters responded that she did not hire Sheri because she was black, that Sheri was hired for her talents.
This is the point I want to drive home, being employed by large white managed and staffed corporations for your intelligence and talents as opposed for skin color is something African Americans should be grateful of, not accept the job then complain why more blacks aren't being hired. As an African American, if I were to establish a television network and acquire a national television station, and the governments allows me to have a TV channel. I would innately employ African Americans to manage and run my network, my programs would predominately be black from the local and national news to sitcoms and talk shows, etc.
Therefore, African Americans should stop complaining and put their resources together and acquire their own network and this will bring about real equality.
